The 7300 has an advantage over the 7700 for trimming pet nails in that the low speed setting of the 7300 runs at 6500 rpm whereas the low speed on the 7700 is 10,000 rpm. For trimming nails on cats and small dogs, or rounding off a nail, the lower speed of the 7300 is preferable.
